Up early again today - 03:30!
I pick the coach up and arrive in Petersfield at 05:00 ready to load and leave by 05:30.
Everybody is there waiting for me and I am away nice and early. My next pick up is in Liphook and I'm away early from there as well. Last pick up is in Guildford and leave early from there as well!! Why is it not always this easy?!
An uneventful drive to Dover and our ferry departs on time at 09:15, and arrives in Calais on time as well. What is happening!
I enjoy a fat boys breakfast and 30 minutes of shut eye on the boat.
After a couple of hours we stop at a service area near to Antwerp and then carry on with our journey. After a short comfort stop in Germany we arrive at our overnight hotel, the Ramada Bruhl, at 06:00.
A quick wash and change in time for a beer in the bar before dinner at 19:00. The dinner is a buffet and one of the better overnight meals.
Everybody seems happy and ready for the drive ahead.
I never like the first day of a tour as I have been up since sparrows fart and feel tired all day which makes the journey seem longer. Mind you today has been easier than I expected, it must have been the zeds I had on the boat, though I am wilting and am ready for my bed.
