Friday 04 June Nauders

A free day today with the coach going nowhere! The forecast is good today, by far the best day of the week and the cable has started operating giving the passengers something to do if they wish.
I wash the coach after breakfast and top up the drinks water and that's me finished! I filled up with fuel (which will get me home) and cleaned the inside yesterday so I can relax for the day.
I work on this blog for a while before going for a walk in the sun around the village. It is quite beautiful today with the hot sun out.
I have a snack lunch in the supermarket cafe nearby and then go back to my room to sit in the sun on my balcony! What a life!
Mid afternoon I decide it is coffee time and go downstairs to the lounge for my caffiene fix! Doug and Penny are sitting there and I join them and am talked into having an apple strudel! I don't take a lot of persuading though!
Charly appears in his work clothes and the tools and debris from tiling one of the rooms.
"All finished?" I ask
"Yes" he replies "the guests arrive yesterday!"
I also want to buy some ski boots. When we came ski-ing here in April I hired some boots that for the first time ever were a comfortable fit. I normally have to change my boots as they hurt but this time they were perfect. I have written the name and size of the boot in my phone and want to buy a pair from the shop here as this is where I hired them from.
There are no boots on display! I ask the lady and she tells me that they do not sell ski boots in the summer, only walking boots and cycle accessories. I show here my phone and she says she will have a look to see if they have any Saloman 27.5 size boots in the store room.
They have one pair which are for advanced racing skiers and cost the best part of £400! A bit out of my league.
Brian is having a guide time in Duisberg where the sun is also shining brightly.
Tonights dinner is a buffet and once again the food is gorgeous with plenty of choice for everyone. The chef carves your meat with a choice of Turkey, beef and pork all of which are delicious.
At the end of the meal Charly appears, this time dressed as a chef! He must have been in the kitchen while the chef is upstairs carving!
We are all given a scnapps and Charly toasts the group. A nice gesture.
