Sunday 19 September Lille

We are due to leave at 10:30 but this stretches to 11:00 as tales from the previous evening are told. Some look rather the worse for wear while others are surprisingly spritely.
From a wet Lille we drive to a sunny Ypres and spend some time having lunch and drinking! Oh, and a bit of culture and sightseeing!
I take them to Tobacco road on the way back but nobody buys any tobacco before arriving in Calais and the shuttle terminal.
We are booked on the 18:20 train with no chance of an earlier one so we have 45 minutes here. As I’m waiting at the bus one of the Eurotunnel officials approaches me and asks if I can take an extra passenger back who has missed their coach. He is going to Manchester. I refuse as this is all sounding a bit dodgy.
Another lady from inside the terminal also asks if I would take this man back and again I refuse.
We drive to passport control without the man and to our train which leaves on time.
What a great three days it has been and I hope DC has enjoyed it, I am sure he has.
