Danube Cruise Sunday 02 October 2011

Once again another gorgeous morning with everyone on deck enjoying the sun. The usual strollers are about but Mrs Aggressive is a lot less aggressive today and even manages a smile on her way round! I do a couple of laps before sitting in the sun to enjoy my book. I have brought some work with me to do and feel I should be doing that this morning but it is so lovely and relaxing that I am happy to stay here reading. After a couple of hours I have to move into the shade as the sun is just too hot.
Lunch is at 11:30 to allow time for the optional excursion at 13:00. I struggle through a couple of courses but am not hungry from breakfast.
After lunch we moor in what seems the middle of nowhere but is in fact a small village called Ordas. From here the excursion takes the people into the local countryside and to a farm complex where locals ride horses by standing on the horses. I didn’t go but those who did said it was a fantastic trip.
I went for a short walk around the very quiet village but do not feel right. I think the sun has got me and I have a touch of sunstroke. I have a headache and a temperature and just want to lie down. Even though I have now bought a hat it is too late so I go back to my cabin and go to bed for the afternoon.
I still don’t feel right at dinner and even a couple of beers don’t help!
