Hopefully an easy day today! And I have maps for everyone today!

We are off to the university town of Trento and depart at 09:00 for the hour’s drive across country. I haven’t been this way for a long time and had forgotten how beautiful it all is.

Arriving in Trento at 10:00 I drop the group close to the Via Guiseppe Verdi, the road that leads directly to the main square Piazzo Duomo.

The coach parking is across the river and this is where I go but there are no spaces. I then drive back to the drop off/pick up layby across the river from the coach park and park here. If I stay on the coach I can always move if the police come along. I don’t know where any other coach parking is. There is something going on in the city as there are hundreds of young schoolchildren being dropped off and picked up where I am parked, and obviously in the way a little. I am prepared to move if asked but nobody does ask me so I stay.

We are away from here at 12:30 for the 40 minute drive back to Riva. I am going back by motorway and will drop off anyone who wants to in the town and take the rest back to the hotel.

We endure two hold ups on the motorway due to roadworks (that weren’t there on Monday!) and end up back in Riva at 13:45, over half an hour late!

This does annoy me and I found the journey back irritating!

I drop most of the group in Riva, take the rest back to the hotel and then return to Riva for my late lunch (again!).

I walk into the centre, have my lunch and then return to the coach where I struggle to clean the windows due to the heat of the sun. I want them clean for tomorrow’s trip into the mountains.

Back at the hotel in the afternoon I go for a walk to the nearby shops and sit and relax over a nice cold beer before returning to the hotel.

We have coffee and cake included in our contract each afternoon between four and five. Most of the passengers are sat enjoying their afternoon treat.

I am tired so have an hour’s siesta instead!

After dinner I have a quick drink with Dot before a good nights sleep.
