It is 10:00 and I still don’t have a coach to go to Italy
in on Sunday!!
One of our coaches has a problem with its gearbox and is
sitting in a garage in Southampton with said gearbox on a pallet waiting to be
collected by the gearbox man!
It is not looking good and will be a very expensive
repair, probably going into five figures. Scary.
The other coach is also sitting in same garage waiting
for a suspension valve and air bag to be delivered and then fitted. They are
80-90% sure of delivery tomorrow (Saturday) morning.
I hope they are correct as it needs to be on the road on
Monday morning at 07:00!
Richard Trueman calls me just after 10:00 to say he has a
coach I can use but he must have our Setra in his yard Monday morning and for
the week to cover the school work the one I am hiring should be doing!
It has been a nightmare week with the gearbox problem and
have had to hire in four different companies for four different jobs this week
and then another one for Monday. This all works out very expensive and is the
knock on from having a vehicle off the road at our busiest week of the year!
