Brian brings the coach to the front of the hotel before
07:00 so we can load the cases before having breakfast and departing at 08:00.
At breakfast the hotel had put bags out so we had
something to put our rolls for lunch in. Excellent.
We are away before 08:00 and the drive around the lake is
lovely as the mist has descended but there are little pockets of blue sky with
the mountains tops showing through, covered with a dusting of fresh snow
overnight.
We have a good run for the first hour before hitting a
traffic jam south of Munich that must have cost us the best part of an hour.
What a pain.
It is all motorway today with a stop at Holzkirchen
services on the Munich ring road and then a lunch stop in between Ulm and
Stuttgart at Aitchen (?) services.
As we have lost a bit of time we stop for a quick 10
minutes at Hockenheim before arriving back at the Dorint Hotel Kaiserslautern
by 17:30.
We have plenty of time to freshen up
