Hello to all who read this blog. I apologise for not writing anything recently but have been very busy with the new holiday brochure which is now at the printers.
In my absence we arrived home safely from the Czech Republic after a great tour and since then I have been to Germany for a week with the Petersfield winning Association which was great. I wanted to keep up with this blog while in Germany but there was no internet connection in the hotel. Sorry!
Brian went to Lake Constance in Germany and enjoyed a good week.
Back to today and I'm up at 4 o'clock for my favourite tour to Nauders. I am picking four people up in Mychett by car and meeting Brian in Guildford. Bob Lloyd has joined the coach in Petersfield and will drive my car back from Guildford. The logistics of it all!
We are away from Guildford 10 minutes early and after a short stop on the motorway have enough time to have a 40 minute break at the shuttle terminal before boarding our train which is scheduled to go at 09:50.
We drive from the terminal to the loading bays without any passport checks (normal) or a security check (not normal!) and are loaded on the 09:20 shuttle.
The drive through France to Metz is as quiet as usual and after a couple of stops we arrive at our overnight hotel on the outskirts of Metz by 17:30.
The Novotel we are using is very comfortable and there is plenty of coach parking but the drinks are a bit pricey. A large beer (pint) is 6.5 Euros which is pretty much £6.50!
