Friday 24th July Prague

A free day today to explore Prague at leisure.
I come down for breakfast at 08:00 with the rest of the hotel and after a quick coffee go back to my room to wait an hour for the rush to go.
I spend most of the morning working in my room before venturing out at 11:00. I have a walk down to the river to see where our boat goes from tomorrow and if I can park the coach there. It doesn't look like I can park, well I can at £10.00 an hour over the bridge, so will have to miss the trip in the morning. Never mind.
It is very hot again today although not as hot as yesterday and I am glad to return to the hotel after my lunch and my nice cool room.
We are going out tonight to a folklore evening and a local coach will be picking us up at 18:45.
Have a bit of a panic as the coach doesn't arrive at the hotel at the required time so I call the driver, whose number I have been texted, and he tells me he is outside of Debenhams waiting for us.
It takes about 30 minutes with the traffic to arrive at the folklore evening where we are the first of the groups to arrive.
I am never quite sure about these evenings as I find the music a little boring and repetative! Tonight's show was much better than I expected with a group of four musicians and singers, two dancers and a young lady who compered in many different languages, danced and sang.
There was a young lad on the violin who was a fantastic player who also had a very strong voice and he received the biggest cheers at the end of the night.
As we were enjoying the show the waitresses and waiters brought round a constant supply of red and white wine, beer and soft drinks. They also delivered a terrine of potatoe soup and a big dish of mashed potatoes with three different types of meat followed by apple strudel and coffee. A lovely evening was had by all.
