Thursday 23rd July 2009 Prague

Enjoy a bit of porridge for breakfast before walking to the coach park. It is already very warm and the temperature is due to reach the thirties today.
We have a guided tour of Prague this morning and we are meeting our guide at the hotel at 09:30.
I leave the coach park £32 poorer and join the traffic jam towards the hotel!
Arriving at the hotel at 09:30 we quickly load up and begin our tour. I can't remember the guides name (it might be Marketa) so I will call him Mark.
Mark directs me through part of the city and up to the big stadium high above Prague that is bigger than most football grounds in England and was used for gymnastics! It is exactly how you would expect to see a stadium in an eastern European country and I think it is a marvellous sight albeit a little run down.
I drive down from here and at the next junction turn right just as a tram I didn't see is about to hit the bus! I stop just in time but it is a very close thing. Must concentrate more!
I drop Mark and the passengers off at 10:00 and that is me done with the coach until Saturday morning.
I drive back to the coach park trying very hard not to add up what the cost will be on Saturday!
The group are due to finish their tour in the old town at 12:15 and I plan to meet them there.
I have a walk around the shops before waiting in the main square at midday and sure enough 15 minutes later they appear looking very hot and tired. The temperature is too hot now and Mark has said that it is the hottest day of the year and could reach 40 degrees!
I have a pizza and a couple of beers for lunch before returning to my room and the air conditioning!
Dinner is at seven tonight but I am going to go out and have something in one of the local restaurants.
At seven I speak to the group about the next couple of days. It is here that Ray tells me he has left his bag with all of his medicine in it on the back seat of the coach!
I have spent all afternoon cooling down and now have a 40 minute walk on a very hot and humid evening. Great! I am dripping by the time I return.
I have to have a couple of beers in the bar to replace my lost fluids before going out!
By the time I decide to go out it is raining so I don't wander far before finding a nice restaurant for my dinner.
I have a nightcap and a coffee in the bar before going to bed.
"You sure you don't want special massage" I'm asked again, and again I politely refuse.
