I have managed to copy and paste the following blog which occurred just before I went to Germany.
We have a very busy day today with a lot happening.
Brian is due home today from what sounds like a very successful tour to Annecy. This is one of my favourite destinations and is the most beautiful of places.
We have had to shut the shop today as Daisy has an important hospital appointment at Great Ormand Street so sorry to anyone who came to Petersfield to see us or tried to contact us by telephone. All went well and I did manage to open for the last hour of the day.
During the school holidays we act as an agent for incoming foreign students who stay at the very smart St Mary’s School in Ascot. The first arrivals are due in today and we need three coaches doing the airport runs from Heathrow. Only having two coaches obviously means we can’t physically do this so we use Truemans Coaches who are based much closer to Ascot and are a company we work closely with.
This is all Wendy’s department and she is always a little anxious that the right number of coaches are booked and turn up on time.
This may all seem a little strange us doing this but it all stems from many years ago when I used to drive the Bracknell Basketball and Ice Hockey teams. One of the ladies working their remembered me and contacted me about this student work. We have now been doing it for the last seven years.I am off to France tomorrow with a school from South Molton in Devon and Ray has driven down to Devon today so he can pick them up early in the morning and meet me at Fleet Services where we will swap over, both driver and coach!
Ray has gone down in the Setra which as lovely as it is does not have a dvd player. And the school require a vehicle with a dvd player. So I will Drive Brian’s coach to Fleet and we shall change busses there.
Ray is booked into a hotel in South Molton tonight.
