My day off today but have offered to run passengers into town. It is a 20 minute walk but I need to do some work and get fuel so I might as well sit on the bus in the town as sit in my room.
We leave at 10:00 and I have most of the group on board. Within a couple of minutes we are at the parking place for the bus and as soon as everyone is off I drive to the garage to top up with fuel.
Back at the coach park I am parked in the shade and manage to complete the work I brought with me before going for a walk around Goslar.
Goslar is a beautiful old town with more than 180 timbered buildings and many shops, bars and restaurants.
At 14:00 I take those who want a lift back to the hotel.
I have every intention of continueing my work but before I know it I have slept for two hours!
After dinner I am sat outside having a drink when I receive a call from Michael asking if I can change the Harz Mountain tour from Wednesday to Tuesday. I thought the tour was on Tuesday!
After checking my paperwork I realise the tour is on Wednesday and the railway journey from Wernigerode is on Tuesday.
I cannot change and am grateful for the phone call as we could have been sat at the hotel waiting at 09:30 for Michael when we should have been on a train 30 miles away!!
