Breakfast starts at seven and we are away by eight.
Today and the second day down are the two longest with about 500 miles to do on the motorway up to Bruhl.
We came via Karlsruhe, Stuttgart and Ulm to Munich but am going back another way via Nuremburg and Frankfurt on the A3 as there were too many roadwork’s on the way down and the roads will be busier with lorries today.
Also the A3 is a lot more three lane motorway which makes it easier for overtaking.
We have a relatively trouble free journey to Bruhl with only a couple of small hold ups and I wanted to arrive between 18:00 and 18:30 and actually arrive at 18:15! Happy with that.
The difference in mileage today was only 12km (7.5 miles) and I think I could have got that down if I went into Bruhl a different way but felt the quickest way would be the way I knew and I haven’t been using the sat nav so didn’t want to experiment.
I drove 799km today and am ready for a beer before dinner as tomorrow is a lot easier and I can relax now.
There big beers in the bar are only little beers so I order two, one for the right hand and one for the left!!
