Day off today! The first for a while! Aaarghhhh I hear you say!
I am up at 06:30 and it is very warm already.
Enjoy breakfast with the group this morning and all seem in good spirits.
I do some work in my room before going out for a walk at 11:00. It is such a glorious day that it seems a shame to be inside.
I stroll along the seafront and it is beautiful with lots of people sunbathing and swimming in the sea. The is only a small sandy beach area and most of the beach is concrete which at first doesn’t look great but the more I see it is cleaner and very practicable.
The sea is so very clear and they say you can see the bottom at 30feet!
By the time I sit down for a drink it has become even hotter and I don’t take long to devour a litre of water and an expresso.
I walk all the way back past the hotel but don’t see anybody from the coach and then find a lovely pizzeria for a spot of lunch.
I am feeling the sun now and have a headache and feel a little shivery so decide to go back to my room for a lie down. I sleep for three hours!
The beer I enjoy this evening is only £1.67 a pint !
Everybody had a good day today with some going on a boat, others just walking and some went into the very inviting swimming pool. There is an excellent leisure complex at the hotel and you can swim from the indoor pool into the outdoor pool.
