Up at 06:30 feeling brighter than I should but wishing I could stay in bed! It is my day off today so maybe I should stay in bed!
There has been a bit more snow overnight but not enough to cause any problems like yesterday and today’s forecast is for snow, cloud and sun with the temperatures dropping once again.
Once again we are going to Zauchensee and our journey to the road from Altenmarkt, which leads to Zauchensee, is without incident although as soon as we reach Altenmarkt it is clear there has been a lot more snow here overnight.
The road seems okay and shouldn’t be a problem but as we near Zauchensee the traffic has stopped and many of the cars ahead of us are putting on their chains. You can see the tarmac through the snow so we will not need the struggle of chains this morning. This same thing happened last year with the hold up being caused by cars stopping to put their chains on and so blocking the road.
We aren’t too delayed and arrive as one of the first coaches here.
It has stopped snowing now and the sun is fighting for the chance to shine.
