Nauders Sunday 02 September 2012

Last day today with a five hour motorway drive from Metz to Calais arriving ion Calais at 14:00.
We have a couple of stops on the way. The first is at Verdun services where we have time to fuel up and drop the loo! Not a great job but when there is a proper toilet drop it is wise to take advantage, and it saves a job for later!
Lunch is also on the motorway at the service area two hours from Calais.
As I have said above we arrive in Calais at 14:00, are booked on the 16:05 ferry, catch the 15:20 that departs at 15:45!
There are two new large ferries in the P & O fleet and we are on one of them today - The Spirit of France. These ships dwarf some of the older ferries and take an impossible looking amount of cars, coaches and lorries.
The ship is very busy but it is quiet in the drivers room which is a vast improvement on previous ferries and even has a balcony!
Brian enjoys fish and chips while I stick with a coffee in anticipation of a curry later this evening!
We have a trouble free journey back and are finished in Petersfield by 19:30.

I love Nauders and if there is anybody reading this who hasn't been before and is looking for somewhere nice to go next year then you can't go wrong here. A great holiday.
