Monday 07 October
Brian is back off holiday today and going to the Peak
District.
I am having a day off!
I wake up to the most beautiful sunrise and could stay on
my balcony looking at the sea all day.
After breakfast I give the coach a quick clean and take
the opportunity to have a look inside the Swiss coach, which is a Setra but
must be at least 10-15 years old. It is immaculate inside and has only three
seats across, two on one side of the aisle and a single seat the other side. It
is very nice and the two Swiss boys (owner and son I think) are rightly proud
of it.
Once the coach is tidied up I go back to my room to do
some work, sitting in the sun on my vast balcony! Now this is what you call an
office!
I then go for a stroll, walking into town, taking me
longer than I thought it would, about twenty minutes. This will probably be a
touch too far for some of the group.
Once in the town it is apparent that a lot of the shops
and restaurants are shut, not always just for siesta but some are shut for the
winter!
I bump into many off the bus before strolling back past
the hotel to the next resort of San Bartolameo, a resort we have stayed in
before.
I can’t make my mind up where to eat lunch but I do feel
a pizza coming on! There are a couple of place I know in Bartolameo but cannot
make up my mind. I reach the seafront and start walking back to the hotel along
the promenade when I come across a small quiet looking restaurant that serves
pizza. That will do for me! And it does! It is delicious!
Back at the hotel I mean to work all afternoon but am
feeling a touch weary so end up having a long siesta!
A drink by the beach on our lovely decked area before
another enjoyable dinner.
On our dinner tables are Greys Coach Travel name plates to show which tables are ours. The hotel have gone to the trouble to go on to our website and download the Greys logo as well as a picture of one of our buses! This impresses me.
